Vaporesso NRG SE Tank

Bubble Glass and uses the Versatile GT Coil Family

Vaporesso includes the NRG SE tank with the Tarot Baby subohm vape starter kit. The NRG SE is a compact, 24mm subohm tank that is able to hold a respectable 4.5ml of vape juice with the bubble glass.

Up top looks standard but it actually features a lipped 510 drip tip that doubles as a locking mechanism for the slide top. You don't have to pull the tip all the way out to unlock the top.

To fill, lift the drip tip upwards until the tip is about halfway removed, then apply pressure to the top to open.

It has a snug, sliding top that has a large kidney style fill port that can handle big stems or unicorn bottles. The top has a firm enough seal that you could replace the drip tip without worry but the raised lip will make most tips look out of place.

The tank has a wide double airflow system that supplies plenty of air to the coils at wide open.

At the heart of the tank is Vaporesso's fantastic GT family of coils. Included with the kit is one GT Mesh coil and one CCell coil.

The included mesh coil is one of the more popular Vaporesso coils and for good reason. It gives a warm, dense cloud with a bright flavor profile.

The CCell coil features a ceramic wicking system with a standard kanthal wire coil and produces clean flavor with less power requirements but less vapor production.

This is a nice little subohm tank that can use any of the GT coils and is also compatible with a wide array of similar sized subohm coils.

Most vapers will be more than satisfied with the GT Mesh and the GT4 Mesh, a double mesh coil head with lots of flavor and a lower wattage requirement.

Vaporesso Tarot Baby Mod

Compact, Capable and Easy to Use

The Vaporesso Tarot Baby is a very capable and compact built in battery vape mod. The model we are reviewing has a bright, fire engine red paint job with an engraved mandelbrot design. Vaporesso makes the Tarot baby available in several color options.

Symmetry is a key element in the design cue for this mod. Each side is a reflection of the opposite and all balanced around the centrally located, spring loaded 510 pin. 24mm tanks look great with no over hang.

Built in to the mod is a 2500mAh battery, about the same as a single, standard 18650 battery. On the front of the mod is a USB port that is capable of 2A charging. From empty to full charge takes about 90 minutes.

The black back edge cradles the thumb, while its opposite provides a very cool, **clicky** trigger style squeeze bar. Underneath the darkened, translucent fire button stealthily hides a bright TFT color screen that is not visible when mod is asleep. After a firing, the screen times out to display a surprisingly convenient digital clock.

Most of the information, such as the wattage and battery life are easily readable at a glance but the detail information like ohms are in a thin font that may be hard to read for some users.

The menu system is easy to navigate and you can change any setting.

Vaporesso made the OMNI 4 chipset, a favorite of ours, the brains of the operation. This chipset is near instant firing, 0.002s, and has a ton of features, firing modes (vw/vv, accurate TC, curves and more), and several safties.

The Tarot Baby can fire from 5-85W and is able to handle resistance from a very low 0.03 ohms all the way up to 5.0 ohms.

This chipset gives quite a bit of capability as well as versatility to this small form factor mod.

Final Thoughts on the Vaporesso Tarot Baby Kit

The Vaporesso NRG SE tank has a compact design to fit with the portable clouds style of vaping of the kit but still hold a decent amount of vape juice.

The included mesh subohm coils perform admirably, with excellent flavor and dense, saturated clouds. However the mesh coil heads require around 65W for best results, which may impact battery life too much for some vapers. The CCell coil heads give a clean vape at under 40W.

Vaporesso makes a very good GT4 mesh coil head, that features two smaller mesh coils. This coil will provide a good middle ground for vapers looking for that saturated flavor profile but allow for a lower effective wattage (50W).

Overall, this is a very capable sub ohm vape kit designed for portability and easy use. The Tarot Baby is fast and fun to fire and the kit includes a more than satisfactory subohm tank.
