augvape skynet - high capacity glass

The Augvape Skynet is a mesh sub-ohm tank with a straight forward design that draws on a now classic triple airflow design with good aesthetics.

Machining and build quality on the Skynet is pretty high, everything fits together quite well and easy to disassemble. The parts are simple to take apart for a cleaning and go right back together without any trouble.

Pre-installed on the Skynet, is a the higher capacity 5 ml pyrex glass, which doesn't distract from the looks like some bubble glass has the the habit of doing. The standard capacity glass holds 1.5 ml less.

At the top is a frosted acrylic 9mm bore 810 drip, which lends to the overall look of the tank. There are rounded edges on the outside of the rim and there is a slight slope from the base to the top of drip tip, which gives the 810 a more comfortable feeling than a perfectly cylindrical contemporary.

To fill up the tank, giving the top a full twist, reveals two large ports that can handle any type of tip.

Having the full twist, as opposed to a quarter or half turn system, to remove the top cap pulls the seal against the fill ports and lends a more secured feeling to the tank.

The sub-ohm coil is made of kanthal mesh, coming in at 0.15 ohm resistance. Surrounding the mesh screen is organic cotton, which is exposed on the exterior of the coil by fairly large pill shaped juice openings.

The large wicking ports have enough surface area for the wicking to be quite fast. Chain vaping is no problem on this coil.

Augvape quite a large diameter on the inside of the coil for airflow that gives the vapor plenty of volume.

Taking a drag results in a pretty respectable dense cloud and good flavor. The flavor is pretty good on the Skynet, which is expected on a mesh sub-ohm tank.

With the triple airflow at wide open (max clouds), while smooth, the airflow does give a slight whistle which goes away when the airflow is adjusted to be slightly closed.

Adjusting the o-ring is quite smooth, not so stiff that the ring binds or sticks but is secure enough to stay put.

The sweet spot during testing, was about three-quarters open at 65W, which feels pretty good for chain vaping.

Cutting the airflow down to as low as quarter open gives a pretty good restricted lung hit with a warmer, richer flavor experience.

The price point on this tank is also pretty good on this tank and getting a 5-pack of coils won't set you back. Average price per coil drops below $2.50, which makes the Skynet a budget friendly option without giving up any performance.

If you are looking for an easy to maintain, affordable, well performing,  mesh sub-ohm tank that really pumps out lots of vapor with good, saturated flavor, this is the pick for you.
